Programming Robots with Lego® EV3

Students design, build and program awe-inspiring robots using LEGO’s most advanced and newest robotics technology – the powerful MINDSTORMS® EV3. The EV3 is today’s go-to robotics system for hobbyists and features improved digital sensors, a seven-state color-light sensor, new gyro sensors, touch sensors and an improved ultrasonic sensor.

Students will work together in groups to both design and build a unique robot, and will then enter their robot in a competition against the robots created by other student groups. Through this fun and engaging program, your student will learn the real life applications of science, math, and engineering.

The Programming Lab

At Addity’s Programming lab, we enable students with the tools to augment their critical thinking skills along with computational thinking. Every workshop engages students with programming projects based on their interests. Students will learn how to leverage computational thinking to design algorithms and solve various problems while being introduced to many concepts in Computer science and technology. One of the exciting things about learning Computer science is that you learn a new and fundamental way of thinking and problem solving; a way of thinking that is critical to our connected world. The learning at our lab encompasses a wide range of programming concepts and languages.

Lessons build upon one another, and we adjust starting points to each student’s level of expertise; as a result, the entire curriculum is customized. Students stay engaged while learning to blend creativity with technology.

Students will work with industry-standard hardware and software, complete a final project, create an online portfolio, and bring their new tech knowledge into the real world.

 

How It Works?

Step 1:

Register online by selecting a Workshop pack that works best for you.

Step 2: 

Select your start date and time. Pick your tentative schedule. This can be modified up to 24 hours before your session.

Step 3:

Login to your account and select the project you would like to work on. If you are a beginner, an instructor will call to discuss your best options. This is your project – individually customized for you.

Step 4:

Start programming at Addity. Watch your projects come to life while enhancing your Critical Thinking.

Step 5:

Participate in our online and offline demos. Learn to code while you code to learn!
